A place to connect, create, and belong.

Our Tuesday gathering brings individuals with disabilities together for an afternoon of friendship, activities, and fun in a welcoming environment. Participants have opportunities to spend time with friends, express their creativity, enjoy shared experiences, and simply have a place where they belong.

Creative Abilities isn't simply about filling a couple of hours with things to do. Our goal is to create an environment where individuals with disabilities can develop friendships, strengthen their abilities, build confidence, participate with others, and become increasingly connected to their community.

Tuesdays Are Just The Beginning

Creative Abilities began the Tuesday gathering because we knew we needed to start somewhere. But our vision is much larger.

Families in Dyer County need opportunities for individuals with disabilities beyond the school years. Our long-term vision is to expand Creative Abilities beyond a weekly gathering and develop programming that provides meaningful daytime opportunities, friendships, community engagement, and life and job skills right here in Dyer County.

Caregiver Support & Respite
Giving parents and caregivers greater freedom to work, run errands, rest, and manage everyday responsibilities knowing their loved one has a supportive place to be.

Help Us Turn This Vision Into Reality

Growing from one afternoon each week into expanded programming will require a community effort. Creative Abilities needs volunteers, community partners, support staff, funding, and eventually a permanent space where these programs can grow.

What started with a group of parents deciding to begin with what they had can become something Dyer County families have needed for years.
